Welcome To Allendale Christian School  Battle Creek Science UnitThe students in second grade learned about the uses of water in our new Battle Creek Science unit. Not all water sources, we have learned, are usable for all water activities. Water from the ocean is salt water and cannot be used for drinking. Fresh water still needs to be cleaned before it can be used safely. We made wells to help us better understand groundwater and how we also get that water from wells and springs. We used pipettes to "pump" the water from the well. The water "pumped" from the wells can go directly to homes and schools or be stored in large tanks to be used by many homes and schools. It was fun to see how this really can work! This experiment, and our unit on Earth's Land and Water, has given us the opportunity to thank God daily for all the wonderful lakes, rivers, streams, ponds and oceans that He has created. The Earth's landforms and bodies of water are all made by God, and as we learn more and more about them, we are more and more in awe of how great our God.

  • Summer office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am - noon
  • We are currently accepting enrollment for Preschool, Young 5's and K-8.  Call 895-5108 to schedule a visit.
  • Paper Drive - July 10 - 31 in our school's front parking lot.  Drop off your phone books and newspapers.
  • Join us for our Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast in our school gym from 7-10am.
  • Summer Instant TRIP dates -  TRIP will be held in our school lobby 8:30am-9:30am and 6:30pm-7:30pm on July 2, 16 & 30, August 13 & 27.
