Allendale Christian Supporters Organization

(ACSO) 

Purpose  The purpose of this organization is to provide all parents of students at Allendale Christian School with the opportunity to work together to benefit the entire school and to lower their individual tuition bill.  This organization also promotes Christian fellowship as parents work side by side towards a common goal. 

Membership  Membership shall consist of active members (parents with children in Allendale Christian School) and associate members (others willing to help even if children are not attending Allendale Christian School).  All members shall have the right to vote. 

Meetings  This organization shall meet once a year, preferably in October.   

Officers  The officers shall consist of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  These four people make up the ACSO board.  Term of office is two years with Vice President and Treasurer to be elected in odd numbered years, and Vice President and Secretary to be elected in even numbered year.  The office of Vice President shall be a progressive office, serving one year as Vice President and the following year as President, with a new Vice President being elected each year.  Nominations for officers are to be made by the ACSO board.  Current officers are ineligible for re-election for the next calendar year. 

Committees  Committee assignments will be made in the spring by the ACSO board, after parents have had the opportunity to indicate the committees on which they would like to serve.  Some committees work to make money for specific causes at the school, like the band, library, computer room, and athletics.  Other committees are service oriented and help out the staff, students, or school board.  Many committees earn money to be used either for the general operating budget of the school or for tuition reduction. 

Authority   The ACSO Board shall have authority to transact any business coming up between meetings. 

Various Committees are established under the direction of the ACSO.    

A complete list of committees, along with a brief description, is sent out the spring of each year.  This list is also available upon request to the school office.
