My husband, Jeremy, and I have been married for eight years.  He is a builder, who does new construction and remodeling, but whose passion is for historical homes.  We have three boys who keep us busy;  Owen is six and in first grade, Grayson is three, and Zion just turned one.  We attend Friendship Chapel in Jenison, where I am on the worship planning team, nursery committee, and editor of our newsletter.  When I actually have a moment to myself,  I enjoy doing a variety of art, keeping up with my boys' scrapbooks, running and singing in the shower.  Someday, I have a dream of writing and illustrating a children's book.

I believe that everyone is an artist.  We were made by an artist, so we can’t help but create!  We may not work in visual art, but we all create.  It is my job to make sure my students have a desire to imitate our Creator.  I hope that through my art classes, they can see and appreciate the greatest artist, our God.
