My husband, Tom, and I have been married for five years. We both were raised in Colorado and travel back there a couple times each year. We live in Zeeland, where my husband is an engineer at a great company, Innotec. We are members of Calvary CRC in Holland. We were blessed this past summer with the birth of our first child, Ethan James.  I am teaching only part-time this year, so that I can spend more time at home with Ethan.

I graduated from Calvin College in 2001. I taught Kindergarten at Allendale Christian School for three years, then Young 5's for two years.  This will be my sixth year teaching Computers K-8, which I will be doing on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  I am currently taking classes at Grand Valley State University towards my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

I feel so blessed to be part of children's lives and to share God's love with
them!  I feel that I have a better understanding of this now that I am a parent.   I believe that Christian school teachers have a high calling to prepare God's children to share the Word with others and to be steady lights in the darkness.
