After School Program Information

Are you in need of a place for your children to go after school? The after school program just might be for you. It is our goal to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for your child. Our program offers each Young Fives – 5th grade child supervised care and fun through crafts, computer time, indoor and outdoor play, movies and other activities. In addition, each child will have time to work on homework and get questions answered about their assignments.

The program runs daily from 3:20-6:00pm. On half days the program will run from school dismissal until 6 pm. We will provide a snack for each child daily. A sack lunch must be brought in on half days.

Enrollment:

To enroll your child in the program you can pick up an enrollment form in the office or print out the one attached to this e-mail. The form can be mailed, e-mailed, or dropped off in the school office. Enrollment forms will be available at the back-to-school open house.

Payments and Fees:

You will be billed once a month by mail or email. You can make that choice in the enrollment packet. Payment is due two weeks after the invoice is mailed. There is a minimum of one hour billed per child each scheduled day. Our 2016-2017 program rates are as follows:

Attendance Procedures

Sign-In/Pick Up: Attendance will be taken daily in order to sign in children. Parents are required to sign out each child from the program. Teachers and office staff will have record of which children attend the program and when they attend in order to ensure safe arrival to our room.

Attendance: Parents need to call the office or the program director before school dismisses to let us know your child will not attend the program on that given day. An e-mail to the director is fine as long as it’s done before the end of the school day. Attendance messages cannot be relayed through teachers. Parents must be the one to notify the program director. Drop-in care is available for those currently enrolled in the program. Please notify the office or the program director before the end of the school day if your child needs to attend the program on an unscheduled day. If someone other than a legal guardian will be picking up your child(ren), we must be notified in advance and the person must be listed on your child(ren)’s information sheet. Please always provide a photo ID for those other than a legal guardian picking up your child(ren).

School Cancellation: If school is cancelled the after school program will not run.

Half days: The after school program will run on scheduled ½ days from school dismissal until 6pm. A sack lunch will be required for your child on ½ days. Snack will be provided. Special activities may be planned for ½ days. Activities may include picnics, walks, or other small field trips. Parents will be given advanced notices of such activities.
