Mrs. Marcia Geurink – Spanish
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to teach Spanish to grades K-3. I grew up in Farmington Hills, MI and have a Bachelor’s from William Tyndale College and a Master’s from Eastern Michigan University. Last fall we moved to West Olive and are living on the farm where my husband grew up.
My husband Scott and I were missionaries with Christian Reformed World Missions in Tijuana, Mexico for over 22 years. We were involved in church planting and leadership developing. Our three children grew up in Mexico and attended local Mexican schools from Kindergarten through 9th grade and then we homeschooled them for High School. We are now working with the Hispanic Church “Alas de Aguila” in Allendale, helping Pastor Enrique Cuevas and his wife Michelle grow the church.
During our time in Mexico I grew to love the Spanish language and the Latin American culture. I am looking forward to sharing that love with the students at ACS. I hope to add a little Mexican flavor (literally) to the Spanish classes!”
